The first step to make a business on internet

It is true that technology has made it easier for us to sell from anywhere in the world, but where do we start? Young people under 20 are making thousands of dollars from their computers (some even while travelling the world), completely changing the paradigms of the traditional economy. Surely you are wondering: why can’t I make money online?  What should I do?  Where do I start?

Surely you are wondering: why can’t I make money online?  What should I do?  Where do I start?

There are so many forms of entrepreneurship on the web.  From running a small web site and receiving profits by placing advertising on your site, or being a famous youtuber who makes money for the millions of interactions they generate on their channel, to the sale of digital or physical products over the internet, among thousands of other options.

Where to start?

Let me give you an example.  The first thing that caught my attention was the sale of my own “digital infoproducts” over the internet.

This means that I write books in PDF, a digital guide; or record audio accompanied by a Powerpoint presentation video and I put it up for sale on the internet.

It does not generate any cost to me and I can distribute it in any part of the world that I decide.  I sell this through my website in an endless, even automatic, way.

Although all this sounds a bit strange and hard to believe, this was a 19 billion peso industry last year.

But that is just one of the dozens of ways to start on the internet.

Next I am going to present you a quick and simple guide to know how to make a business on the internet.

These tips come directly from my experience working in more than 30 different industries and with more than 10 types of businesses.

What are your skills and interests?

The first thing you need to know is that there is a perfect business for every type of person.  For example, if you love writing, you can be an author at Amazon, make digital products, be a blog author, be a freelancer for websites, as well as many other things.

But on the other hand, if you like talking but not writing, or you love being the star and going our in front of the cameras, you can be a youtuber or do face-to-face or virtual conferences on different topics.

If you are good at programming, you can make mobile applications, do software development, create web pages or even do graphic design.  It all depends on you abilities and hobbies.

Do not go for a business only because if “makes money” because the worst thing you can do is spend hours and hours working on something you do not like.

The idea behind entrepreneurship is that you find something you are good at, that is profitable and enjoyable.

What businesses do you know?

Once you have made a list of what you like to do, you should discard the things you enjoy but do not understand.

Remember that now you no longer just compete with the people of your neighborhood or city.  Now you compete against the whole world and if you want to have a great business online, you have to be the best at what you do.

I tell you all this because many entrepreneurs that I have met are frustrated because they do not know how to use their greatest talents, abilities and interests and put them together to make money with them through the internet.

Following the simple advice I just gave you, you will have more clarity to start a successful business, and believe me, most do not do this and that is why they spend their lives suffering with their business.

Do not become a slave to your business, be an entrepreneur with intelligence!
